You buy a plan and send us access

cPanel, Plesk, DirectAdmin, a raw SSH login or an FTP account and a database dump — whatever you have. If you are not sure what you have, tell us the host's name and we will tell you what to ask them for.

We copy the whole account

Files, database, email accounts and their contents, cron jobs and DNS records. Not just the public folder — the parts people forget are the parts that break a week later.

You check it on a preview URL

Your site runs on our server at a temporary address while your live site is still on the old host. Click around. Log in. Place a test order. Nothing has changed for anybody else yet.

We switch it when you say

At a time you choose — most people pick an evening. We change the nameservers, issue the SSL certificate and watch it propagate. Your old host stays live throughout, so there is no window where the site is down.

The honest bits

What we cannot promise

Most migrations are boring and that is how we like them. But a few things are genuinely outside our control, and you should hear them now rather than mid-move.

DNS propagation is not instant

We can change the record in a second; some ISPs cache the old one for a few hours. Email is the part people notice — which is why we keep the old mailbox reachable during the switch.

Very old PHP may not run

We ship modern PHP. A site written for PHP 5.6 in 2014 may need a small amount of work. We will tell you before you buy, not after.

Custom server software

If your current host installed something unusual for you — a compiled extension, a background daemon — shared hosting may not be the right home. We will say so rather than take the money.
